Since Reverend J. W. Fields organized the church in 1873, FUMC Terrell has been serving the area, with our current sanctuary standing since 1900. As part of the United Methodist Church, all persons—regardless of race, color, national origin, status, or economic condition—are welcome to worship, receive Holy Communion, be baptized, and join our membership

What To Expect
Our traditional service will last about 75 minutes. Each week our church family is involved through liturgy, prayer, and deepening one’s awareness of Christ. We sing, recite, and pray together, relying on one another to create each worship experience and bring the words to life. When we do, there is something both magical and reverent that happens when singing and speaking words that have been used by Christians for hundreds, even thousands, of years.
Centered around a biblical message, the traditional framework of hymns, prayers, and affirmations of faith is thoughtfully paired with visual art and readings, giving us a new and unique lens through which we approach our faith. With a commitment to excellence and creativity, our team makes sure our traditional services are uplifting and engaging experiences that draw you in and make you feel a part of something bigger.
There is childcare available and activities for all age groups. Plan to hang around after the service for fellowship and meeting new people.
