Vivian will be presenting a book review on Fannie Flagg's book, Can't Wait to Get to Heaven. For those of you who do not know the way to Vivian's house, we will meet in the church parking lot by Fellowship Hall at 5:40 p.m. and carpool to Vivian's home.

Since the first Monday of the month is
usually when Girlfriends of Glory has their
dinner/meeting and the first Monday in January
is the day after New Year's Day, I am moving

Girlfriends of Glory will be singing Christmas carols at Windsor and Colonial again this year for the residents. Tony Dorsey has graciously consented to lead our "ruly" bunch in the singing!!! We will meet at Fellowship Hall for a brief "lesson" for our caroling at 3:30, and then load up to Windsor and Colonial. We will spend about 15 minutes at each location before on to the home of Betty Maier and Betty Rhodes for our Christmas celebration and dinner. Our dinner will be around 5:30(ish).
Don't forget to bring your "ugly" ornament for gift exchange. By the way, both Bettys have told me we can't leave the ornaments on their tree this year!!!!! I just don't understand, do you??? Also, if you would like to make a "donation" to the Terrell State Hospital or The Share Center, please bring your item(s). Anne Davidson and Gail Rodgers will make the deliveries on behalf of First United Methodist Church - Girlfriends of Glory! If you need directions or address for the Bettys' home, let me know either by email, phyllis_webb@sbcglobal.net, or you can call me at 214-546-7238. We can also carpool from the church parking lot or from Colonial when we are finished over to the Bettys'.

One last note, let's begin thinking about items for Terrell State Hospital Wish List for Christmas. Anne Davidson will be providing a list for us. As many of you know, we included Terrell State Hospital as one of Girlfriends of Glory's missions/charities for 2010 and would like to continue this worthy charity for 2011!!!"
