Your Boy Scouts have been hard at work
trying to raise the funds to make it to Summer
Camp.
Camp Fees this year have gone up by $15 per boy and $25 per adult not to mention what gas prices have done. Thanks to the church and the greater Terrell community's support of our Fish Fry we were able to get a lot closer to our goal ($3825 for 12 boys and three adults) but we do still have a ways to go!
It hasn't been all work, though, as we were able to get in a fishing/swimming trip to Cedar Creek Lake over the last month.
The fishing was a little slow and the swimming a little cold but the boys had fun just the same and vowed to do it again real soon.
It's been a busy Month for your Scout Troop. We
have had 2 Fund raisers to help us pay our way for
our Spring Break trip to New Mexico's Carlsbad
Caverns. We also held our annual "Scouting for
Food" Service project where we collected non perishable
food items for the needy here in Terrell. Despite
the slow economy we were able to collect over
900 items and deliver them to the local food bank.
Troop 391 is busy as bees these days!
