On
October 10, many of the UMM supported the Terrell Labor For Your
Neighbor event in conjunction with 18 other churches in Terrell and
surrounding communities. The day started with a pancake breakfast
prepared by the skilled UMM chefs where we fed about 40 hungry
supporters. The Terrell Men then built a wheelchair ramp at the home of
one of our church members, checked smoke detectors, changed light
bulbs, fixed misaligned doors in other homes and moved or rearranged
furniture in some of the local rest homes. The day culminated with a
huge BBQ dinner for all participants at Ben Gill park in Terrell.
