I have been teaching a total of 9 years, 7 of which at Methodist Day School. I received her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies specializing in Reading, from Texas A&M at Commerce in 2001. In addition, I've worked as Kindergarten Aide at Presbyterian Kindergarten, and as a First Grade teacher at John F. Kennedy Elementary for 2 years.
I grew up in Kaufman. My husband Mike and I have been married 34 years, and have 3 grown children. We live on a farm near Terrell.

As a child I remember my mother bringing me and my brother to church every Sunday. It became a routinely thing around our house. Not too long after I graduated from the University of Arlington in 1995, and soon became engaged to Jimmy Cooper, who was raised in this church
When Jimmy and I went looking at places to get married we couldn’t seem to find the right place, but when I walked into this church I could see myself walking down the aisle and worshipping here. Not long after I placed my membership.
I was raised Church of Christ, but later converted to Methodist. Being raised in a church with only one active parent; I knew how important it was for us to raise our children in the church together. We have been blessed with two children, Emmy and Reece. We come to church most Sundays as a family; which I am glad of, because I never had that opportunity as a child.
In February 2007 the Children's Director Job opened at FUMC Terrell and it just seemed right to take it. In October 2010 my job expanded to include the Youth Ministries as well. Mathew 28 says that “Christians should all be equipped to share God’s gospel with others.” I feel my ministry here is to guide the children and youth of Terrell into a relationship with Christ. I totally enjoy my work and feel lead by God in events that we have done at the church, I truly love my job!!!

I
started I think in January of 2005, but not sure. I'm the god daughter
of J. W. and Chris Williamson, long time members of FUMC Terrell. I'm
married with two grown children and live in Sunnyvale. In addition to
being on staff in Terrell, I am also the pianist at New Covenant United
Methodist Church in Sunnyvale where I play for their 8:30 am service and
I have been the music teacher/chapel leader at Christian Childhood
Development Center for 16 years. I love music and have strong beliefs
about the value of musical experiences for young children and the value
of musical experiences in worship services. It's a privilege to play the
piano for church and I'm extremely grateful to have been given the
opportunity for so many years.
