First United Methodist Church Terrell

Labor for Your Neighbor

Sunday October 10th - Labor For Your Neighbor

On October 10, many of our members participated in the Terrell Labor For Your Neighbor event, along with 18 other churches in Terrell and surrounding communities.  The day started with a pancake breakfast prepared by the skilled United Methodist Men chefs where the fed about 40 hungry supporters. The Terrell Men then built a wheelchair ramp at the home of one of our church members, checked smoke detectors, changed light bulbs, fixed misaligned doors in other homes and moved or rearranged furniture in some of the local rest homes. The MPKids and Youth helped clean up playgrounds.  The day culminated with a huge BBQ dinner for all participants at Ben Gill park in Terrell.

One of the projects was to build a ramp for one of our members.
